I always love shoes and I've been collecting them since I was in uni. But a few months ago, I just realized that I don't have a classic pumps! So I was in search for the perfect one until I saw these babies from Zara.
Unfortunately, they no longer have my size (I'm a size 40). Hiks.. Hiks..

Recently, I found these princess while I was working. These are from Christian Louboutin.

Perfect shape, perfect color, and PERFECT SIZE (yeay!!) but I can't afford it (dooh!!).

Oh well, the adventure of searching for the perfect pumps is to be continued..

Since I was a kid, I've been obsessed with musical movies such as The Sound of Music, Grease, Staying Alive, Mammamia, Chicago, Hairspray, and so on. But for me, the most artistic and inspiring musical movie of all time must be Hair starring John Savage, Treat Williams, Beverly D'Angelo, Annie Golden, Dorsey Wright, and Don Dacus. Released in 1979, Hair was an adaptation of Hair, a musical Broadway in 1968.

At first, I only know the movie's soundtrack from my dad's vinyl record collection. My dad was trying to find the movie's dvd for ages and finally he got it while doing some business trip in US a few years ago. And after I watched, I fell in love instantly. I was hypnotized by their musical performances, dances, songs, story, and even their stunning wardrobe choices.

Since my short escape to Bali a few months ago, I've been having a huge interest of visiting other beautiful cities, places, especially virgin beaches anywhere in Indonesia. So my friends and I decided to went on a short holiday to Belitung 2 weeks ago and we had a great time! Well not really at first, because the first day, the weather was terrible and we couldn't do anything on the beach besides having seafood for lunch while it was raining hard outside. So day 1 failed. Day 2, the weather was a bit nicer even though it was raining on the morning but during the day, the rain stopped. We thought we could do some island hopping but instead the local fisherman told us that the waves still rough and dangerous. Okay cancelled.But our disappoinment were paid off by taking pictures and climbing thousands of rocks around Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Tinggi. Super fun!! It was amazingly beautiful even the sky was a bit dark due to bad weather. Final day, finally the sun smiled at us! The weather was nice and we did some island hopping. Me and the boys even test our adrenaline by jumped from 5 meters tall rock to the sea! We did snorkling too but the water weren't clear enough because it's rainy season.

For those who are planning on going to Belitung, here's a bit of advice:
1. DO NOT go between November - March or April, because the weather's gonna be teribble. When I arrived on Dec 2nd, the locals told one of my friend that Belitung has been raining non stop for the last 2 months. My oh my... Early May - September or October are the best months.
2. If you decided to go to Belitung, do remind yourself that you only went there for one reason that is the beach. Period. Because when the nite time comes, there's absolutely nothing to do. No bar, no fancy restaurants, no cinemas, nothing! So do bring cards, dvds, or may be have your beauty sleep.
3. Rent a car with a good experienced local driver. It'll save your time, money, and energy because you can use him as you tour guide too so you don't need to ask around everytime and everywhere you go considering one beach to another is pretty far (very few road signs also).
4. When it comes to accomodation, I highly recommended to stay at Hotel Martani. Even though it's a very old hotel (at first it was a bit spooky but later it wasn't so bad at all) but it was very clean, neat, and super comfy at a very reasonable price too.
5. DO TRY the local food because everything's super delicious and cheap! From fresh seaside seafood restaurant, pempek Belitung, Mie Belitung Atep, and tekwan on the city beach. Super yummy!!!! Oh for those of you who alergic to seafood, KFC's the one and only fast food in town.
6. Bring underwater camera, the sea are so clear you can see the fish swimming around from your boat.
7. Bikinis or swimsuit, sunblock cream, sunglasses, hat, tissues, camera and pair of flip flops are must bring items everywhere you go.

My 5 years old laptop has been RIP recently. After a lot of thinking, I decided to replace it with a Macbook Pro. I still learn how to use it though (I'm so not a gadget girl and I know nothing about using an Apple).

Anyway, got nothing to do. I supposed to met up with an old friend but somehow at last minute he cancelled and I already put on my berry lipgloss from Revlon. I've been crazy about this lipgloss for months. It's great substitute from a red lipstick everyone had been wearing these days. If you want to boost your mood, this color from Revlon will help you. A LOT!!

Sick vs Healthy

OMG! I was totally forgot to say this, Happy Eid Mubarak! Better late than never aite? Anyway, since day 1 of Idul Fitri, I have been sick and spent a week in the hospital. As I write this post, I'm still in my pajamas, in my house, and trying so hard to do (almost) everything what my doctors told me to. (So today should be day.... mmmm... day 16 of me being sick.. Yikesss!!). Take this pill and that pill, sleeps a lot, no stress, no outside food (but I'd secretly been eating a lot of choco cake and Warung Pasta's Polar Bear rice. Yuuuummmm??!!!!), eat lots of veggies and fruits (by a lot I mean I hardly eat any meat! Okay, except the Polar Bear. ;p). I never got sick this long and I didn't realize the importance of being healthy before now.

It took three doctors to figure out what my disease was (and I know until my last day in the hospital, they still not quite sure what my disease was), a week in hospital, expensive hospital bills, a lot of phone credits (when I was in hospital, my parents were in Mecca for 20 days), and blah..blah..blah...! So, 3-4 days after I got out from the hospital, I went to my dad's doctor and he said that I have a digestive problem. In medical world, it's called syndrome... umm... (arrgghhh!!! I hate those complicated hard to read and remember medical words!!). And said the doctors in the hospital got it all wrong (but hey, still thanks to them I felt a lot better back then). I took my dad's doctor prescription and be a very-good-stay-at-home girl. He made perfectly clear that I have to eat more veggies and fruits and no stress at all because he said when I stressed out, even just a bit, it will effect my stomach and the ability to digest food properly.

As you can see, from what I've told you, the bottom line is eating healthy food and balancing life is super important. If you work hard, play a bit harder! Even stress can make you sick really bad. My mom always say that being sick is expensive and healthy is a lot cheaper. I guess she's right.

So, besides plastic surgery, real fur, and pimples, I also hate being sick!!

P.S. I miss work so much!!!!!!

Went to see Sarasvati, Polyester Embassy, C.U.T.S, The Paps, and so on at Bandoengsche with my guy last Saturday. But my favorite performance that night was Sarasvati and I literally got goosebumps when they perform. I would call Sarasvati's music genre's dark pop. Remember the old type horror movie music? Behind The Scenes

I had so much fun working with Bona Soetirto, Hakim Satriyo, Tania Ledezma, and Posh Management's models (Vivien, Veronica, Mateusz, and Andrea) last Saturday. We did some shoot for the models portfolio. And I (aw.. aw.. aw...!!) was one of the fashion stylists. It was surely a really long and very tiring Saturday but it was absolutely worth it. The models are nice, super fun, and crazy!!

The 60's and 70's era has been my obsession since I was seven years old. When other kids watching Voltus, Superman, and Wonder Women, my dad introduced me to Grease, Hairspray, Hair, Saturday Night Fever, Sound of Music, Bee Gees, The Beatles, Tony Bennet, Neil Diamond, The Doors, Olivia Newton John etc.

Musical movies is my most favorite type of movie. I watched Mama Mia, Across The Universe, Grease, Sound of Music, Fame, The King and I, and so on like a thousand time. But Grease and Hair is my all time favorite movies. Since I first saw Grease, I instantly fell in love with John Travolta until now!

One of our local denim brand, Easton, offers different types of denim for men and women. In my opinion, they more accentuating on the denim material and pattern making rather than on the style itself. I think it's quite genius because it's really hard finding a perfect pair of jeans that fits perfectly on someone's body and comfortable at the same time. Easton denim is about simple, clean cut, and comfortable.

On friday, I bought a dress, two top, and a shirt from Proud Parents from AOD Hysteria 2010 (preview) Sample Sale. I only spent around $30 for 4 items! Saturday, my guy and I went to Ciwalk, Bandung and watched The A Team and it was fun, full of action, and super hilarious!! After that, I noticed there's a hat store (forgot the name! sorry!!) and next thing I know, I bought 3 hats and a (super cheap!) bow tie and it only cost me around $20 !!

Finally We Meet Again

Hello (again) ...
It's been like forever since my last post on February. I hadn't been post anything because I didn't find anything interesting to share with. Instead I spent most (read: ALL) of my time at work. I did this, did that, ran everywhere I possibly could to make this magazine worth to read. I even worked during the weekends sometimes.

Okay, I'll stop talking! Let's get down to the (fashion) business.

Yigal Azrouel is one of my favorite designer ever. The simplicity with little detail and perfect fabrics and cutting makes his collections worth to wait every single season. But I personally in love with his 2010 Resort Collection. Every single pieces are to die for. For me, it's like Jackie O meets Gypsy women but with a little touch from the 70's era. It's perfect!!

Ben and I went to Gunung Tangkuban Perahu to take some pictures for Ben's exhibition. We were hiking up to the top of the mountain when the rain started to fell. Unfortunately, I didn't bring my own camera so when Ben went inside the volcano (turned out it wasn't that dangerous), I decided not to follow him and stay outside and took some narccististic pictures with my Blackberry.

Hello.. It's been quite sometime since my last post.. I finally got a job and have been working like crazy for this last month and didn't have the time to do some postings. Givenchy haute couture fall winter 2009 is the most perfect and amazingly breathtaking show I've ever seen.. It was simple yet very constructive, full of details with a rich fabrics, and very strong but at the same time still very soft and romantic. The combinations between studs and the fabrics creates the illusions of a rebellious but romantic atmosphere. Enough said.

Went to watch Transformers at PVJ with my guy today. We were passing by Charles & Keith while I saw up to 70% discount inside the store. For like a hundred times, I came into the store and looked around for some cute shoes. My options was a stripe pointy pump with a 3 cm heels and flower on top of the shoes and a 9 cm black leather heels. After a few mintunes negotiate with my guy (he kept remembering me that I already have a lot of shoes and I didn't need to add a few more and he kept ask me if I really need it?? Well, women may have a lot of shoes but we never feel that we had too much rite??!!hohohoho!!!!)

Finally I picked the black leather one with 9 cm heels.. And the best part was the shoes was in 65% discount!! Plus it was comfortable but still sexy..

I've recently discovered something that very strange, unbelievable but very funny. I just met this guy and we talked about almost everything. Family, school, love, friends, etc. Anyway, he wanted to see an old photo of me when I was still tomboy then I gave him my old id card.

When he saw it suddenly he gave a funny smile and said,"You know what? My signature is almost exactly like yours." I went like *&%)*&^#)!!!!!!! Then he showed me his id card and OMG (i mean totally OMG!!!)!!!!, it's true!!!!

His signature and mine were strangely very resemble. I mean the ratio of someone else's signature that resemble like yours are 1 out of 1000 or a million!!! But of course, it wasn't exactly and precisely same because there were a few small differences. But still, you can see it very clearly that our signature are almost alike!!

so, should I keep him around??

Last month, I went shopping to TokoTuku Garage Sale. They sold a lot of things but it was waayyy too expensive for a second hand stuff.. (My own Garage Sale is a lot cheaper though.. hehehh!!) But I spotted these cute comic ghost straw handbag and it's brand new and cheap!! And once again, 100% made in Indonesia!! Well, the seller told me that the brand that make this handbag also have their line at Alun-Alun Indonesia, Grand Indonesia. The handbag cost me about IDR 100.000 at TokoTuku but if you buy it at Grand Indonesia maybe it'll be much more expensive... like mooreeee expensive.. Soo lucky mee!!!

I have been searching for some school to continue my education on Master program. It has been really hard to decide which major and school i should go to and it's because of my family financial problem. Well, sort of.. I mean they encouraged me to continue my education abroad but on two condition, first, I have to get a full scholarship which i think it's quite hard to get one and second, I have to get my Master degree in Islamic Country. Well, Malaysia or Cairo for example.. But Malaysia and Cairo don't have the program I want which is fashion bussiness. After months of searching, I found something that I'm quite interested in. It's Bussiness, Environment, and Sustainability major in Leeds University on their Postgraduate Programs. After all, I'm doing my Bachelor thesis on related issues which entitled "The Cooperation Between World Wildlife Fund, Nike and Sony in Fighting Climate Change in The US Through Climate Savers Program."

But my passion for fashion doesn't stop me from getting what i want almost my entire life. I want to work in fashion industry so I decided to search again for some fashion schools. I found Istituto Marangoni which is located in Milan, Paris, and London and I emailed them. I really intersted on their Masters Programme in Fashion Buying. After a few weeks, yesterday I received an email from Mr. Alan Brivio, the person who is responsible for the admission of Indonesian students and he wants to meet up!!! YYYYYIIIIIPPPPIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm one step closer to achieve my dreams....

My family from my mom side are very creative and artsy. Myself happens can play several music instruments. My mom knows that her children, actually, loves art and creative just like her. Recently, my mom and my oldest sister encourage me to make something creative and useful. So i started to make headpieces. And you know what, I kinda good at it.. My oldest sister offered me to sell my headpieces in her boutique.. heeyy, that's such a good idea!!! But, first, I have to improve my skill and creativity in making headpieces.

Since I saw 'Yes Man' starring Jim Carey and Zooey Deschanel, I fell in love with her.. She has an incredible unique voice and great taste of music. In the movie, she also sing with her 'band', Munchausen By Proxy. The lyrics were straight to the point, made me laugh, and the music has a 80s feel to it kinda new wave and a little electrical pop.. I just love her so much!!! Just listen to my mp3.. Don't we all just instantly love her with her quirky music??? well, at least i know i do...

Yesterday, I went to PVJ with my friend, Nike. OMG, she was shopping like crazy!!! she spent a lot of cash buying 2 dresses and 2 tops from Mango... we spent over an hour just in Mango.. Btw, I found an amazing top but it's a little bit pricey... anyway, we just came out from Mango and accross Mango, there was a shop, Logo, and they have the most comfy harem pants i've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh, I was running to go inside the store and i grabbed the harem pants and i tried it on.... MEEEEE LOVEYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! totally in love!!!!!!!! before i knew it, I bought the amazing comfy adorable harem pants.. After i got home, I tried it on again and thanks to my sister, I found another way to wear it!!! I could wear it as a jumpsuit!!! yyyiiiippppppiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!
