COLOR-O-MATIC

Holiday season is around the corner and bright colors are the perfect summer staple to wear on a hot sunny days! Jordan Anderson, an emerging fashion designer from Brisbane, Australia, created Elvrik, a menswear line with a bit of a personal edgy touch. Bright colors like yellow and red are some of the colors were used to make his Spring Summer 2013 collection came alive.

The highlights of the collection are the head turning men playsuit. It's simple but rather bold for menswear line and I love it!

I just wish Jordan made it also in perhaps multiple color layers and combination or maybe in velvet material, it would be more perfect and different (well, for me to wear ;p).

Cloud Number Nine

As I browsed through my friend's photography blog this morning, I saw one of his works for TOTON, a brand new fashion label from Jakarta. Designed by Toton Januar, his Pre Spring 2013 debut collection was beyond amazing! His designs are beautiful marriage of floral prints, bright colors, futuristic, and perfect touch of old Ming Dynasty from hundreds of thousands years ago. His genius mind has successfully transform those inspirations to an art pieces yet ready to wear collection. Check out the collar with an amazing details and embellishments!

FYI, TOTON Pre Spring 2013 collection was presented at The Brandery Asia @Blue Print 2012, Singapore in front of thousands of international fashion enthusiast.

Stars of The Night

The annual Met Gala 2012 at Metropolitan Museum of Arts, New York was just a week ago. But everyone still talked about who wear what on those prestigious night. Considered as fashion's Academy Award, every single celebrity dressed up to the max and tried to have the most 'to die for' looks in the entire night. I spotted few misses from few celebrities (include Edward Cullen's 'vampire newbie' wife ;p) but also plenty of amazing choices from a lot of celebrities.

Here are some of my favorites so far..

Kate Bosworth in Prada
Feeling 20's? Kate's look is the perfect example of wearing 20's dress without a lot of accessories.

Coco Rocha in vintage Givenchy
Coco is known for having great taste on red carpet 'best dressed worthy' type of dresses until she picked this pink yellow jumpsuit with a matching cropped blazer. No one ever see it coming. But still, I love it!

Emma Stone in Lanvin                         Gwyneth Paltrow in Prada
When others wearing long gowns, Emma and Gwyneth showed us that they wanna have fun in fashion by opted for custom Lanvin cocktail dress and Prada halter mini dress.
Camilla Belle in Ralph Lauren
Another celeb who's feeling 20's but only by adding dark plum lipstick to complete her stunning look.

Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe
The dress screams fierceness! At first, I thought Karolina did a huge mistake by wore this to Met Gala. But somehow, the whole look kinda grew in me and it feels like a kind that the legendary model, Iman would wear. I love the turban!

Diane Kruger in Prada
This look is my number one favorite! The effortlessly chic bohemian style made Diane one of the best dressed in my list.

Lily Collins in Valentino Couture
After starred in Snow White, Lily seems couldn't get out from her role. The dress is very pretty yet versatile and suits her very well.

Mia Wasikowska in Prada
Compared to other celebs, this dress wasn't a head turning. But the simplicity, the rich color, the high quality fabric and the beautiful embellishments makes it only could be wore by Mia.

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior
Less isn't more but perfection. xoxo, Marion. :)

The Other Side

Normally, I don't really like how Victoria Beckham being styled almost pretty much the same (sexy and posh?? BORING!!) no matter what magazines she's featured in. But when I saw her in the cover of Harper's Bazaar China May 2012 Issue, I was blown away! She was styled very different than usual, a bit like beautiful chinese heroine character from video games, which surprisingly suits her very well. As I see it, it almost like the cover's portraying a whole different side of her. Wicked!!!!
